Our spa is equipped with two far-infrared dry saunas. Unlike a traditional wet sauna, infrared saunas don’t heat the air around you. Instead, they use infrared lamps (that use electromagnetic radiation) to warm your body directly. An infrared sauna can operate at a lower temperature (usually between 120˚F and 140˚F) than a traditional sauna, which is typically between 150˚F and 180˚F. Infrared saunas also do not require a long preheat time, your body will heat with the sauna during the session, so it is normal for the sauna to be at around 90 degrees or less upon entering. Sauna sessions are great before a massage to warm the muscles, we also have a shower available for after your sauna session.

- Clothing. A robe and slippers will be provided for you to wear in the sauna. We do not recommend using the sauna without a robe, as the room is a shared space. There is a restroom available for you to change, we also have lockers for personal items, or cubbies in the sauna room.
- What you can do while in the sauna. Relax, read, meditate, listen to music, or visit with friends. Just don’t go to sleep.
- After the session is over. When your session is done, it’s suggested that you take your time and let your body cool down. Once cooled down, feel free to take a shower or bath. Just make sure you are drinking plenty of water.
- Number of sessions per week. The sauna can be used 3-4 times per week, starting out with less and gradually working your way up to adding days
If you have any health conditions such as high blood pressure, heart problems, or are under medical care, or are pregnant, get cleared by your doctor before your first session. Even though infrared saunas have been found to be safe, you don’t want to take any chances when it comes to your health and safety.
We have a relaxation room available before, after or between any spa treatments or yoga classes. The relaxation room is a quiet space to relax and calm the mind. There are comfortable chairs and Bluetooth eye pillows provided so that you can zone out and achieve total relaxation. One of our saunas is also located in this room.
