Deepen Your Practice
2020 Yoga Challenge

There are so many reasons that we get out of our regular yoga practice or maybe have never
attempted to start a regular practice. Life gets in the way; it can be hard to find time or energy
to devote to yoga. After a great yoga class we feel so great mentally and physically, yet that
feeling can kind of disappear over time if we haven’t practiced in a while. This challenge is
designed to re-light your yoga fire! Yoga brings your focus back to a daily practice of self-
reflection and the mind body connection. It is my hope that this challenge will give participants
the opportunity to allow themselves to focus on their own well-being. It is so easy to get caught
up in our daily life that we forget about our own well-being. Practicing Yoga is not a chore, or a
simply a physical workout. By deepening our practice, we discover more about ourselves and
find ourselves working towards a “better” us. Yoga can be an amazingly useful tool in bettering
our daily lives. By learning and truly understanding the importance of the mind body
connection that we learn about and utilize in our yoga practice, in our daily lives, we are
provided with extra help to get through each day. Through hardships, and struggles we can
breathe and focus our minds. Yoga is not just about the physical practice, it is about learning to
cope and about growing as an individual. It teaches self –discipline, and how to gain a sense of control over the mind and body while allowing them to be as they are. No Matter where you
are in your yoga practice, this challenge will be the start to a new journey filled with self –
discovery, growth and maturity. I look forward to sharing this experience with you.
This is a 31day challenge, to partake in the challenge, just join the Facebook group (DEEPEN YOUR PRACTICE 2020) and read through the requirements listed below. This challenge is meant to improve your yoga practice but also to provide you with support and
accountability from those in the yoga community. You are encouraged to share your
experiences and to be encouraging and loving toward others. Youare not in this alone.

Daily Requirements

-Daily Yoga Practice with journaling. Practice yoga daily, whether it be at a class in the studio
or at home. It can be a 15min practice or a 90min class, it doesn’t matter as long as you are
doing some form of yoga every day. When you have completed your yoga practice for the day,
you can fill out your log to keep track, and do any private journaling that you want. To complete
your daily yoga for the purpose of this challenge, you will join the FB group (DEEPEN YOUR
PRACTICE 2020) and make a post about your practice for the day. This is a way to build our yoga
community and have support from others that are embarking on this challenge. Plus, this will
hold us accountable. Feel free to embellish in your private journal, but for your daily post these
are the points to hit:
1) Description of your practice: Ex: 15min Morning Flow at home, or 5:30pm Core&Restore w/
Ann
2) How did you feel before your practice (mentally and physically?
3) How did you feel after your practice (mentally and physically)?
